It was about 40 years before I did something illegal before I ended up getting into trouble and got a folony on my record. Mine was due to an addiction, mainly crack, that made me do something to mess up my good record. Since then though I quit messing around with drougs and got clean, which I can proudly say now that I am 8 years clean and loving it. My problem with society now is the way people think that since I messed up I can no longer be trusted. Its so frustrating how hard it is trying to find a job, people need to realize that most felons DO learn valuable lessons and felons DO need and desreve a second chance but between the media and others unexperienced remarks ruin it to get that second chance. Heck, the majority of ex-felons work harder and are more dependable than most of the ones that dont have any felonies. Well, I'll stop here because I can write a book on this topic. If any one out there have any ideas on where to get help to find a job with a felony in Kent Ohio, please let me know it will be much appreciated.

well this is my first time on this site but i knew i had to become a member because in cincinnati it is hard to find groups created just for felons unless you are still on parole,so i hope i can help and b helped at the same time, ive been physically free since 2006 but mentally im still locked up and its getting harder for me everyday and im stating to lose hope, since my release i got married, had two kids and came up on a house now my problem comes when i go out to look for a job at places where i know they hire felons and still dont get a job and the ones that i do get mite last a month or two and then im back to square one the last few jobs i had one i got hurt and when i filed for workmans comp they fired me and the one after that turned out to be me doing a bunch of free work that was last year and i aint been paid yet and i havnt worked since,im tryin to stay on a straight line but latley ive found myself contemplating goin left and taking penatentiary chances to provide for my family.
