14 Y.O. Killed in drug related robbery in southeast Phoenix

Police identified a 14-year-old boy who was killed during a suspected drug-related robbery in a southeast Phoenix home early Saturday morning.

Frederico Aguilar, 14, was pronounced dead after being taken to a nearby hospital. Investigators believe Aguilar was just spending the night at the home and was not a target in the incident, Phoenix police Sgt. Trent Crump said.

Mayor of Violent Mexican Border State Assassinated

NUEVO LAREDO, Mexico -- Gunmen killed the mayor of a town in the drug-plagued Mexican border state of Tamaulipas on Sunday in a region where suspected cartel hitmen recently massacred 72 migrants, the government said.

Hidalgo Mayor Marco Antonio Leal Garcia was the second mayor to be assassinated in the past two weeks in the area, which has become a battleground between the Gulf and Zetas cartels.

7 charged by Macon police with drug, gang crimes

Six Macon men and a juvenile have been charged with drug-related crimes in connection with a search warrant served in the 2900 block of Dalton Street.

Members of the Macon police gang unit and Superior Court probation officers conducted the search Tuesday and found 10 bags of powder cocaine, marijuana, a .40-caliber handgun and assorted gang-related items, according to a police news release.

Report: Slain teen tried to leave gang

STOCKTON - A 14-year-old boy beaten, kicked and stomped to death by at least seven others near Panella Park earlier this month drew the group's resentment because he wanted out of his street gang, the victim's relative told investigators.

Four Arrested in Street Gang Crackdown

Los Angeles - Four alleged members and associates of the Watts-based Bounty Hunter Bloods street gang were arrested on Tuesday on federal narcotics charges, capping a two-year investigation.

The arrests were the result of a series of indictments returned last week by a federal grand jury in Los Angeles, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

ICE operation nets over 100 arrests related to gang activity...AZ

The arrests were made as part of Operation Community Shield, an ongoing initiative by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Office of Homeland Security Investigations National Gang Unit.



ICE partners with other federal, state and local agencies to target transnational gangs.

10 suspected female gang members nabbed after crime spree

A three-day crime spree in May led to the recent arrests by Metro Police of 10 suspected members of an all-female gang known as the Lady Maccz, who sport the color pink and use monikers and a hand sign.

Officer Dan Woodard said police have arrested 10 women, five of whom are juveniles, for charges that include conspiracy, robbery and burglary. One woman, 21-year-old Laquay Tate from Las Vegas, is still outstanding, he said.

27 suspects in custody after shootout between rival biker gangs in Chino Valley

CHINO VALLEY, Ariz. - The investigation into a shootout in Chino Valley involving members of the Hells Angels and rival Vagos motorcycle gangs.

Neighbors reported a barrage of gunfire between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.

TEMPE, Ariz. -- Tempe police arrested dozens of people and seized cash and drugs during an undercover heroin-trafficking investigation.



According to Sgt. Steve Carbajal, property detectives and patrol officers continue to arrest a number of residential burglary suspects in Tempe.
