Randy was offered every opportunity in life to become whatever he wanted to become, but instead chose the bright lights of the streets and the street fame that came with it. It's not an easy story to tell, filled with heartache, pain, and suffering, he caused a lot of hurt to others and to himself.
Before he became the infamous street pharmacist known on the streets of Brooklyn to the streets of three cities in North Carolina, he was a scraggly little kid growing up in a hard working loving home that offered him more opportunities in life than most kids were getting in Brooklyn at the time.
It was in the mid 80's the very early days of what would later be called the 'crack epidemic', and now known as the 'crack era' that he jumped head first into the vile world of the drug trade. The so-called game became his life, the only thing he lived to do. He traded in his childhood dreams, for the dream of being a successful drug lord. Randy switched friends who lived the straight and narrow, for the grimy, untrustworthy, and shady characters you run with in the streets.
For the love of the money he became enemies with childhood friends and forged alliances with people he had little or no
history with. He would achieve a level of success in the drug world that many lesser drug dealers could only dream about and which would eventually cost him 13yrs, 6 months and 2 days of freedom.
Randy Kearse’s story is also about redemption, overcoming adversity and the challenge to change, a testimony to the strength of the human spirit and how God's plan moves all of us through the good, the bad and the ugly.
Had it not been for God's mercy he would not be here today telling his story.
