Chicago Gang-Related Shooting Leaves 9 Injured

Chicago, IL, United States (AHN) – A gang-related shooting on Chicago’s Southwest Side Monday night left nine people wounded, three seriously.

The incident happened at a Chicago Transit Authority turnaround near St. Rita High School, reports stated. Buses had to be rerouted during the shootings and police investigation.

According to the incident report, eight of the victims were male, while the ninth was a 20-year-old female who was struck in the ankle.

The victims were taken to three hospitals where they were questioned by authorities.

Investigators said the shootings seemed to be gang-related, and urged the community not to be threatened or fear for their safety.
