WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- Police say five people are hospitalized with gunshot and stab wounds after a gang-affiliated birthday party turned ugly.
Officers say a fight broke out early Saturday morning when several people with no known gang links stopped by a house frequented by gang members.
Several people were stabbed before someone took out a handgun and started firing.
Police say the most seriously injured man was flown to a Portland hospital for two gunshot wounds to the chest.
Another man was shot and stabbed, while three others suffered stab wounds.
There was no immediate word of arrests in the case.
