The promise was that I would do all that I could to raise awareness about her story and essentially free her from prison through forming a campaign and becoming a voice for her. Sara was a 13 year old child victim of human trafficking, sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing her sex captor when she was 16 years old.
In 2005, after being released from prison I founded the © Free Sara Kruzan Organization. I spent the next years of my life keeping my promise to Sara. Today in 2012, the Free Sara Kruzan Organization is a Global Campaign.
