Watsonville Police Investigate Gang-Related Stabbing Near Middle School

WATSONVILLE, Calif. -- A 15-year-old boy was stabbed Tuesday morning near a middle school in Watsonville in a gang-related incident, according to police.

Officers found the boy at about 10:15 a.m. in a parking lot at E.A. Hall Middle School at 201 Brewington Ave.

He told officers he had been walking in an alley near the 600 block of Palm Street when he was approached by a man in an Oakland Raiders jacket who asked him which gang he was affiliated with.

The teen told the man he was not involved with any gangs, and the man responded by stabbing him, according to police. The victim then ran to the school and called police for help.

He was taken to a trauma center with two stab wounds to his upper body.

The boy described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 20s with a shaved head and mustache. He was wearing a gray and black Raiders jacket and blue jeans.
