Woman Accused In Sex Case Sentenced

Norma Lira Convicted Of Having Oral Sex With 13-Year-Old

ORION TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- An Orion Township woman has been sentenced after being convicted of having oral sex with a 13-year-old boy.

The Oakland County Sheriff's Office said Norma Lira's husband told deputies in December that he suspected his wife had engaged in a sexual act with a 13-year-old boy in their home on Flintridge Street in Orion Township.

The office said the boy was a friend of Lira's daughter.

In January, the 32-year-old was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison, but Lira was sentenced to two years on April 1.

Lira does not have a prior criminal record.
