Melinda Casey is currently enrolled at the University of Southern Mississippi. For the past 9 years she has been a Certified Nursing Assistant with an emphasis on hospice care. She hopes to complete her Master’s at USM in Social Work and go on to work with abused women and children. She has done volunteer work with agencies that help those in need and also advocates bringing awareness to the seriousness of domestic violence. With the recent loss of her oldest sister, Gina O’Flaherty, she is striving to make sure her sister’s death isn’t in vain.
