Maricopa residents and founders of The Streets Don’t Love You Back, Lucinda and Robert Boyd, are hosting a 1-mile walk in support of domestic violence awareness 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 14 at Top Level Boxing Gym, 6026 N. 23rd Ave., Phoenix.

Guest speakers will include Sen. Steve Gallardo, D-District 13; Sudberry, founder of Kaity’s Way and mother of Kaity, a teenage girl who murdered by her ex-boyfriend; Arvina Flores, a domestic violence survivor and S.U.T. Southwest Region President (Simply United Together is a social and community networking organization); Grace Crockett, CEO/founder of Agnes' Centers for Domestic Solutions; and Jamal Water, the Original DJ J-U-Ice Crooklyn Zoo Entertainment/718 Productions, will MC the event.

The public is asked to donate personal hygiene products including towels and washcloths to be given to the Sojourner Center in Phoenix, which serves more than 2,900 women and children annually.
