Girls' violence on rise? Experts differ...

Before a 14-year-old girl accused of shooting a 13-year-old girl during an altercation Tuesday can return to her Detroit home, her guardians must pledge there are no firearms in the home.

So ruled Wayne County Juvenile Court Referee Kelly Ramsey on Wednesday, as she decided the girl could be released on a $25,000 bond on charges of assault with intent to commit murder and using a firearm to commit a felony.

Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick was sentenced to up to five years in prison Tuesday for violating the terms of his probation on an obstruction of justice conviction.

70-Year-Old Wife Accused Of Stabbing Husband

A 70-year-old woman was in the Hamilton County jail Wednesday morning accused of stabbing her husband.

Police say Leona Stephenson stabbed her husband Willie in the chest. It happened at their Colerain Township home on Aquarius Drive.

"She brandished the knife trying to keep him away from her. He apparently didn't think that she had it in her, he kept coming at her," Stephenson's attorney said.
