***Look how far I have come...Look how much I have grown...Watch how much further I will continue to keep moving forward....6 months ago today at this very time (from 6:50 pm - 10 pm) a man took it upon himself to change my life forever. He raped me. He took my pride, my selfesteem, my trust, my faith, my beauty, my freedom and almost my life. I now reclaim what is rightfully mine and I will not allow you to keep those parts of me... Being a friend or family member of a victim or survivor is
not an easy thing to be. Just know that we need to talk about what happened. We
need to feel loved and safe. Also know that we cherish each and every person
who reaches out to help us keep moving forward. We want to be happy and strong
and with your love and support we can be just that! XOXOXO

“For everything you have missed, you have gained something else, and for everything you gain, you lose something else. It is about your outlook towards life. You can either regret or rejoice.”~~Unknown
I have struggled trying to stay positive during the past couple of years through the divorce and the rape, but I am learning to decipher the good even in the worst of times. Sometimes we think when things don’t go the right way, when we suffer a defeat, that all…

Things Not to Say to a Survivor
There
